Marian Prayer Chain
Here's a website-friendly version that makes it an annual St Raphael Catholic Multi Academy Trust tradition rather than referring to a one off event in Holy Spirit MAC:
Marian Prayer Chain
Each year, at the beginning of May, St Raphael Catholic Multi Academy Trust comes together to celebrate the month of Mary through our Marian Prayer Chain.
This special tradition provides an opportunity for pupils, staff and communities across our schools to unite in prayer, reflection and devotion to Our Blessed Lady. As the Marian Prayer Chain journeys through the Trust, it creates a visible sign of our shared faith and strengthens the bonds that connect our school communities.
The prayer chain symbolises unity, carrying with it the hopes, prayers and intentions of pupils, staff, families and parishes. Children play a central role in the celebration, expressing their faith through creative acts of prayer and devotion. Many contribute by creating prayer links, writing personal intentions, producing artwork or decorating the procession with flowers in honour of Mary.
More than a prayer activity, the Marian Prayer Chain reflects the values at the heart of our Catholic mission. It encourages compassion, service and community, reminding us of the power of collective prayer and the importance of supporting one another in faith.
As the prayer chain travels between our schools each year, it serves as a powerful reminder that we are one Trust family, united in purpose and guided by Gospel values. The Marian Prayer Chain continues to be a meaningful tradition that enriches the spiritual life of our schools and inspires pupils to deepen their relationship with God through the example of Mary.
Through this annual celebration, we continue to nurture a spirit of faith, hope and unity across St Raphael Catholic Multi Academy Trust, carrying forward a shared commitment to prayer, community and Catholic life.
