Accountability Structure
St Raphael the Archangel Catholic Multi-Academy Trust (MAC) is a Catholic Multi Academy Company, bringing together our schools within a shared governance structure that promotes strong leadership, effective decision making and continuous improvement. To distinguish them from the Trustees of the Birmingham Archdiocesan Trust, the MAC Trustees are known as Directors.
Our governance model provides clear and well-defined roles across the Trust, ensuring effective oversight and supporting our mission to deliver the highest quality Catholic education.
A key priority of St Raphael MAC is to raise outcomes for all pupils. To support this, we have established a clear framework that enables staff at every level to contribute to the ongoing development of high-quality teaching and learning across the curriculum.

Judgements made by the core committees and the board of directors are formed by various data sources; Ofsted; Section 48 RE Inspections; School Improvement Partner Visits; Link Director Visits; and School to School Visits. These all help the committees make informed decisions, and validate the current position of each of the schools within the MAT.
